The author’s descriptive writing is beautiful. I could see in my grandkids’ eyes that they connected with the story’s powerful message. The story caught their attention and held it. It’s a little story about a little bunny named Luma searching for the reason for her belonging and value. What a wonderful story.

I picked this up randomly and ended up really liking it. It’s soft, comforting, and easy to read. Luma is adorable, and the story feels very calm—perfect for bedtime. The message is simple but important: you don’t have to prove anything to matter. My niece loved it, and honestly, I did too. Definitely worth checking out if you want something meaningful but not too heavy.

I’m John R. Miles. When I was five, a brain injury made me feel completely invisible. One kind speech therapist showed me my voice was worth hearing and that changed everything. Now, as a dad and an author, I see the same question in kids’ eyes: “Do I matter?” I wrote You Matter Luma to give them the answer I once needed: Yes. Right now. Exactly as you are. I hope this book feels like the hug every child deserves.
